Magazine Cover Analyis- Entertainment

The title of the magazine 'Entertainment' is covered partly by the main image of the magazine. Like the other magazine covers, this seems to be fairly common. This is clearly because the magazine is so well known it does not need to make it 100 per cent visible. The title is bright yellow which stands out against the background. The background is not very dark, it is a light grey colour. This still makes the title visible because it is an extremely bright colour against a fairly light background. The main image of the magazine is of two people who are characters from a film. They are posing as their characters rather than themselves. This allows the audience to relate to them and they will feel more likely to go and watch the film because they are getting a glimpse of the characters and what is going on. We can tell that these are characters from the film because of what they are wearing, their facial expressions and their body language. The female in the picture is wearing trousers with what looks like some sort of weapon tucked into the pockets of them. She also has a very serious look on her face. This could lead the audience to believe that she is dangerous. This again leads the audience to wonder what the film is about and also may make them more likely to go and watch the film. The heading 'Divergent' is written across the top of the image on the cover. The effectiveness of this is that it will make the audience aware of this.
